Before and after
Many intend to spend some time in Iceland before or after the 15th World Scout Moot.
There you basically have three options:
1. Organise your own trips yourselves.
2. Participate in our exclusive tour offers.
3. Mixture of both.
Even though you are planning to take option 1 the International team will be happy to assist you in any way they can.
Groups or participants make their own program schedule by selecting some of the Exclusive tour offers, the two Adventure Tours, some of the City activities or by organizing their own activities.
Selection of day tours we offer before and after the moot, tour offers and schedule depends on participation, as minimum participation is required. Prices are subject to change:

Accommodation before and after the Moot
Unfortunately the Icelandic Boy and Girls Scout Association is not able to offer Home hospitality before and after the 15th World Scout Moot 2017.
An arrangement can however be made for low-cost accommodation in the Reykjavík area for three nights before the Moot and three nights after the Moot. This accommodation is in classrooms in schools. In addition, arrangements can be made for camping at the Úlfljótsvatn Scout Centre (where the last half of the Moot takes place) after World Scout Moot ends.
Connection to Airport
You can book the Flybus from and to the airport through us.
If there are a sufficient number of people arriving at the same time an arrangement can be made for a special bus for the World Scout Moot participants.
Access to food at the Úlfljótsvatn Scout Centre, after the Moot ends
If you choose to stay at the Úlfljótsvatn Scout Center for one or more days after the Moot, please be aware that there is no shop, restaurant or café in the vicinity where you can get cooking provisions or food. Therefore, if you wish, arrangements can be made to provide your group with food and the necessary equipment. Further information will be published at a later date.
If you choose to accept this service then the meal package includes the following:
- Breakfast: Bread, meat for the bread, orange or apple juice, cereal, coffee, tea, yogurt
